Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 25, 2026

This policy explains what Tappia: EFT Tapping & Calm does with information when you use the app. It is written in plain language, and it describes how the app actually behaves.

1. Overview

Tappia is a self-care and wellness app for guided EFT tapping. It is designed so that the personal parts of your practice — the words you type, how intense a feeling is, and what you have practised — stay on your device.

Tappia is operated by Neslihan Özüyilmaz, the app's developer. In this policy, "Tappia", "we" and "the app" refer to the Tappia iOS app.

2. No account required

You do not create a Tappia account. You do not give the app an email address, a password, a username, or a phone number in order to use it. There is no sign-in screen and no profile hosted anywhere.

You may optionally enter a first name in Settings so the app can address you. That name is stored on your device like any other setting.

3. Information stored locally on your device

As you use Tappia, the app saves information in its own storage on your iPhone (Apple's standard on-device app storage). This can include:

There is one further piece of text worth calling out: if a session asks what the feeling is about (for example "the meeting on Thursday"), that answer is used only while the session is running, to shape the wording on screen. It is not saved to your session history.

This information is not transmitted to, or stored on, any server operated by Tappia. The app has no Tappia backend, no account system, and no Tappia-operated data storage of any kind. Your entries remain in the app's local storage on your device.

Daily practice reminders, if you switch them on, are scheduled locally by iOS on your device. They are not sent from a server, and setting one does not share your practice information with anyone.

4. Narration and voice processing

Spoken guidance is played from audio stored inside the app. If a recording is unavailable, iOS may generate the line on-device as a fallback. No session text or personal input is sent to a voice service.

In other words: the guidance you hear is either a recording that shipped inside the app, or speech that your iPhone produces itself. The words you type are never sent anywhere for narration.

5. Purchases

Tappia Plus subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Tappia does not operate its own payment system.

Tappia does not receive your complete payment-card details. Card numbers and billing details are handled by Apple; the developer does not see them.

To decide whether to unlock Plus content, the app asks the App Store on your device whether a valid purchase exists for your Apple Account. Tappia does not keep a separate record of your purchase or its details.

Apple's handling of your transaction information — including purchase records, receipts, billing and subscription management — is governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policies, not by this policy.

6. Analytics, advertising and tracking

Tappia does not use:

The app does not build an advertising profile about you and does not ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps or websites, because it does not do so.

7. Data sharing

Tappia does not sell personal information. It does not share the words you type, your ratings, or your session history with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies — the app has no mechanism to transmit them at all.

If you contact support by email, the contents of your email are of course visible to the developer, and are handled by your email provider and by Google (Gmail) under their own policies. Please do not include sensitive personal details you would rather not share.

8. Retention and deletion

Because Tappia's information lives on your device, it stays there for as long as the app is installed.

You can remove Tappia's locally stored data by deleting the app from your device. Deleting the app removes its local storage, which includes your session history, ratings, notes, progress and settings. This cannot be undone, so export or write down anything you want to keep first.

Please note two things:

If you have a question about data in the app, you can write to tappia.support.app@gmail.com. Bear in mind that the developer has no copy of your on-device data and therefore cannot retrieve, change or delete it for you.

9. Children

Tappia is a general wellness app intended for a general audience. It is not specifically directed to young children, and it is not designed as a children's app. The age rating shown on the App Store listing applies.

Purchases are made through an Apple Account. If a young person uses a device you are responsible for, Apple's Family Sharing, Screen Time and Ask to Buy features can help you manage what they can install and buy.

10. Security

Tappia keeps its information locally, using the storage mechanisms iOS provides for apps, and relies on the protections built into your device — such as your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and iOS's separation of one app's storage from another's.

No method of storing information is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keeping your device updated, locked with a passcode, and under your control is the most effective protection for what is stored on it.

If you back up or sync your device, your backup is handled by Apple or by whatever backup method you choose, under their terms.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated — for example if the app's features change. When it is, the effective date at the top of this page will be revised. Significant changes will be reflected here, so it is worth re-reading this page after a major app update.
