Terms of Use
Effective date: July 25, 2026
These terms apply when you use Tappia: EFT Tapping & Calm, an iOS app developed by Neslihan Özüyilmaz.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, installing or using Tappia, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.
Tappia is also licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where these terms and that agreement cover the same subject, the Apple agreement applies to the licence itself: Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
2. Wellness-only purpose
Tappia offers guided EFT tapping and general self-care and wellness content. It is intended for everyday emotional self-care.
Tappia is not a medical service. Specifically, Tappia:
- is not medical advice;
- does not diagnose any condition;
- is not medical or psychological treatment;
- does not replace a licensed healthcare professional;
- is not an emergency or crisis service.
If you are experiencing an emergency, a crisis, or immediate danger to yourself or someone else, stop using the app and contact your local emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource in your country straight away.
Research into EFT is promising in some areas but remains limited and mixed. Responses differ from person to person, including no noticeable change or a temporary increase in distress. Nothing in the app is a promise of any particular result.
3. Appropriate use
Tapping sessions ask you to bring a difficult feeling to mind, which can sometimes be uncomfortable. Please:
- stop a session if you feel distressed or uncomfortable — you can pause, skip or exit at any point;
- seek support from a qualified professional when that is the right step, and especially if symptoms are persistent, worsening, connected to trauma, or affecting your daily life;
- use your own judgement about when and where to practise — for example, do not use the app while driving or doing anything that needs your full attention.
Tappia is not a substitute for care you are already receiving. If you are under the care of a professional, consider discussing with them whether a tapping practice fits alongside it.
4. Eligibility
You may use Tappia only if you are permitted to use the app and to make purchases under the rules that apply to your Apple Account and in your region, including any minimum-age requirements set by Apple or by local law. If you are using a device or Apple Account managed by someone else, you need their permission to make purchases.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
Some of Tappia's content is free. Tappia Plus unlocks the full library and all multi-day programs, and is offered as:
- a monthly auto-renewable subscription;
- an annual auto-renewable subscription, which begins with a 7-day free trial for eligible users;
- a lifetime purchase — a one-time, non-consumable purchase.
Please note how this works:
- Payment is processed by Apple. Purchases are charged to your Apple Account through the App Store.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel. Renewal is charged by Apple at the start of each new period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You manage or cancel a subscription yourself, in your Apple Account / App Store subscription settings on your device. The developer cannot cancel an Apple subscription on your behalf.
- Free-trial eligibility is determined by Apple. If you have used a trial for this subscription before, Apple may not offer another one. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged for the first period.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own policies. Refund requests go to Apple, not to the developer. The developer cannot issue Apple refunds.
- Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. If you want to stop being billed, cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings.
- Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency where Apple supports it, and may change over time. Apple notifies you about subscription price changes as its rules require.
"Lifetime" means a one-time purchase that unlocks the Plus content in the Tappia iOS app without recurring charges, for as long as the app remains available and is supported on your device. It is not a promise that the app will be published forever.
Restore Purchases in the app asks the App Store to restore eligible purchases made with the same Apple Account. Purchases cannot be transferred between different Apple Accounts.
6. Intellectual property
Tappia — including its session scripts, written content, recorded narration, audio, illustrations, design, and the app itself — is owned by the developer or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other laws.
Your licence to use the app is personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable, on the terms set out here and in Apple's EULA. You may use Tappia's content for your own personal practice. You may not copy, republish, redistribute, sell, sublicense, or publicly perform the app's content, or use it to build a competing product or service, without written permission.
EFT as a general practice is not owned by Tappia. These terms cover Tappia's own expression of it.
7. Prohibited misuse
When using Tappia, you agree not to:
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except where that cannot legally be prohibited;
- circumvent, disable or interfere with purchase verification, access controls, or any security-related feature;
- extract or scrape the app's content — including its scripts and audio — for redistribution or for training or building another product;
- present Tappia's content as your own, or as medical or clinical advice, to other people;
- use the app in any way that breaks applicable law or Apple's App Store terms.
8. App availability and updates
The app may be updated, changed, or discontinued over time. Sessions, programs and features may be added, revised or removed, and support for older iOS versions or devices may end. Availability can also be affected by Apple, by your device, or by matters outside the developer's control.
Reasonable effort is made to keep the app working, but it is provided as an app you install and run on your own device — not as a guaranteed, continuously available service.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Tappia is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, the developer does not give warranties that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular outcome or improvement in how you feel.
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
Because Tappia is a wellness app and not treatment, decisions about your health remain yours and your healthcare professional's.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Austria, without limiting any mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply in the user's country of residence.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated — for example when features or purchase options change. When they are, the effective date at the top of this page will be revised. Continuing to use the app after an update means the revised terms apply to your continued use.
